Accessibility Training (AODA)

This is a MANDATORY training program for all workers in Ontario.

Participants will receive training on accessibility standards relevant to their work responsibilities as mandated by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

This training is only offered in a New Worker Essentials package which includes: WHMIS/GHS, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Violence & Harassment in the Workplace, Accessibility Training and New Worker Awareness.

Course Content

This classroom-based course. Participants will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:

● Introduction to the AODA
● Ontario Human Rights Code (where it applies to people with disabilities)
● Types of disabilities
● Best practices for how to interact with and assist people with disabilities
