Chainsaw Safety

A mandatory course for all those who are operating a chainsaw. Students will receive hands-on training on the safe operation of a chainsaw and learn about the risks and hazards associated.

Course Content

This course includes a classroom and practical portion. Students will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:
~Regulation
~Pre-use inspection
~Maintenance/cleaning
~Safe handling
~Personal Protective Equipment
~Risks/Hazards-kick-back
~Basic cutting techniques
