Course Content
This course includes a classroom and practical component. Participants will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:
● Regulations
● Risks and hazards
● Safe operating procedures
● Safety regulations
● Hazard identification
● Pre-operational inspections
● Maintenance procedures
● Proper loading techniques
● Job safety analysis
● Machine stability
● Proper start-up and shut-down protocol
● Steering and control
● Excavating techniques
*Travel fees may apply.
Under the Ontario Construction Regulations (231/91) operators of Excavators must be "competent" in the operation of that equipment.
