Propane Training for Construction

The propane training program is for all workers who will be working with and handling propane in construction. Participants will be trained on the hazards and safe operating procedures necessary to safely connect, operate and disconnect propane lines and propane-powered appliances.

Course Content

This course includes a practical and a classroom component. Participants will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:

● Regulations
● Equipment inspection
● Connection, activation, and disconnection
● Safe handling
● Hazard identification
● Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The following PPE will be required for the practical portion of the training:

o Steel toe footwear
o Neoprene gloves
o Eye protection
o Long sleeves - Dress for the outdoors

Evaluation

● Written quiz
● Practical evaluation

Deliverables

    ● Laminated wallet card
    ● Record of training
