Traffic Control Book 7 Training (Revision April 2022)

Course description: Ontario Traffic Control Manual Book 7 -(Revision April 2022) has been developed to provide basic uniform requirements for traffic control in temporary work zones.

There are significant changes to the OTM Book 7 which was revised in April 2022. Our course offers an in-depth summary of the changes to the OTM.

Temporary condition training is for workers who are responsible for creating and implementing traffic control in temporary work areas. Participants will receive training on the hazards and proper procedures involved in the operation of traffic control on roadways and construction sites.

Participants will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:

● Regulations
● Roles and responsibilities
● Safe work practices
● Worker and public safety
● Hazard identification
● Developing a Traffic control plan
● Traffic scenarios
● Signage
● Lighting
● Personal protective equipment

Evaluation

● Written quiz

Deliverables

    ● Laminated wallet card
    ● Record of training
