Trench Safety Training

Trench safety training is for workers who excavate at depths of 1.2 meters or more. Participants will be trained on the hazards and proper safety procedures when engaged in trenching or shoring activities.

This course can be offered with Confined Space Training.

Course Content

Participants will receive training and be evaluated on the following topics:

● Regulations
● Roles and responsibilities
● Safe procedures and best practices
● Personal protective equipment
● Underground hazards and cave-ins
● Soil types
● Sloping, shoring
● Air quality

Evaluation

● Written test

Deliverables

    ● Laminated wallet card
    ● Record of training
